Wolf Bar - Opening May 7th - Sydney - Updated*

UPDATE* Here is Wolf Girl - as promised this is the drawing I was harping on about earlier. I'm quite pleased with how it has turned out. There might be more to come.... Also a big thank you to Nicole over at Gary Pepper Vintage who has dedicated a blog post to my illustrations and our collaboration - click here. Not only does she have a way with fashion, but also with lovely words that make you go "awwww".

I've just finished a commission tonight for a really exciting project - it's for WOLF BAR which will be opening in early May at Darling Harbour. I'm featured on their website. More drawings to follow soon!

Good night everyone....

Boooom & Annalemma Magazine, Finders Keepers & The Loop

I have four illustrations in Issue #6 of Annalemma Magazine - this issue was featured on Boooom.

I have had my portfolio featured on The Loop and also on Finders Keepers where they have interviewed The Loop and featured my work. Nice :-)
Here are some GPV illustrations above and below.

Confetti

Hello and a welcome to some new followers.

I've been pretty busy as of late. I've just completed a full colour draft commission for an educational publisher - it's for a year 7 english textbook! How exciting, another goal to tick off. I'll wait a little longer before I show you what it looks like- it's SUPER colourful and dreamy.

I've been trying to draw everyday but last Friday we had a work bowling session - come evening my wrist and forearm were aching! Argh, I really have to be more careful with my right arm from now on...without it I wouldn't be able to draw, I guess I could use my left hand but it would look horrific. Maybe I should look into insuring it just like J-Lo and her butt or Mariah Carey and her vocal chords.

Above is a drawing I drew tonight - it's inspired by Gary Pepper Vintage - this has been an on going collaboration for the past few months. I've really enjoyed illustrating for GPV and today they celebrate 6 months of its existence. It's barely a crawling baby yet GPV has achieved so much in such a short amount of time.

In other news - I've been listening to an old favourite - french chic Novelle Vague - an acoustic live version and CD version - I like both:

Pom Pom

I thoroughly enjoyed the long Easter weekend - I did these drawings for GPV and also made lots of pom poms for my wedding. I'm really addicted to watching real life crime documentaries at the moment so that's always on in the background as I draw or make things. I've always had a really strong interest in crime and why people commit crime. If you want to risk the same sort of addiction click here - they are streamed from America, I'm really surprised they stream to AUS as normally they don't allow it. If only I could watched programmes off the BBC iplayer! I miss English TV so much.

I managed to come down with tonsilitis during the long weekend, I still have a sore throat today and a swollen gland but I made it into work like a trooper and sat there quietly all day. Since the clocks have gone back an hour here it makes getting up in the morning a lot easier because of the daylight, the downside is having to walk home in the dark! The streets are really dark in Sydney, I don't think they like to use many street lights...maybe I should carry a torch, least it makes me walk faster!
I'm currently working on a creative project for a new coffee shop opening up in England. I've been dreaming up food, drinks and decor moodboards and worked on logo ideas. It's a really fun commission, hopefully I can show you some ideas soon!
