Orange Mobile Illustrations

The following illustrations were commissioned by Orange Mobile, UK. They gave me themes to follow and it was up to me how I interpreted them. They were chosen to be used in all sorts of media communication, ranging from magazines, in-store decor to television commercials. This is one of the best commissions I have ever done, to be paid well and draw for a living, what more could I ask for!Smiler (above) - I am trying to remember the theme for her- I think it might have been communication. I drew this on the train to London.

Birdies (above) - 2 little birdies chirping away...

Al Tennis (above) - I remember the theme for this one was SPORT. So I decided to draw a Rab C Nesbitt style guy playing tennis. He's pretty ugly isn't he? A nice string vest though.

Make a Splash (above) - this is inspired by David Hockney's Splash. The splashes are dashes of orange pencil crayon. The juxtaposition of the image and angle make this one interesting.

Skipper (above) - she was also drawn for the theme Sport.

Gallery 49 Exhibition Work Part 2

Rosy Lady (above) sits in Gallery 49, UK. I like the simplicity of this drawing. I like smudgy watercolours. I normally put a blob of water down on the paper then drop a dash of colour into it and watch it spread out....it's pot luck how the splodge of paint travels. I like the above splodge.

Wolf Girl ( above) - it's quite dead pan.

Cocoon of Love (above) - this is a little baby hiding from the cold, all nice and cosy.

Bearded (above) - they look a bit sunburnt don't they?

Gallery 49 Exhibition Work Part 1

In a pod (above) - this picture along with the rest in this post were sent back to England to feature in an exhibition in Gallery 49 where I hold a permanent exhibition.

Conjoined Love (above) - a bit of pink watercolour to add a splash of colour

Sharing a Heart (above)- this one looks like a print with its striking bold blocks of colour.
Feed the Bird (above)

Leisurely Ladies ( above) - mixed media with watercolour and ink. I also replicated this one for a commission. A lady requested a similar piece of work for her best friend.

Featured in Yen Magazine and CURVY art book

Indian Girl (above) - this sits on my wall in the living room in Sydney, it's one of my favourite drawings I have done. There is a slight smudge in her hair done with a little water and my finger. She also featured in Yen Magazine - Issue 36. I will post a picture of the actual magazine at some point.
Lady Ball (above) - She was published in Yen Magazine's art book called CURVY. Curvy is released every year and features 100 of the World's top female artists.

Siamese Watercolour (above) - they are joined at the hip with a bit of pen and watercolour.
Lady Ball (above) shedding.....

Ghosts, Bears & Rabbits

Ghost Hair Girl (above) - this is an illustration with black and red ink. I work better with just two colours.
Lonely Girl (above) - commissioned drawing. She is contemplating the world.
Rabbit Man (above) - I drew this a few years ago whilst watching TV, I was inspired by the Queen's Birthday celebrations whereby she had a huge theatrical play on stage and there was rabbit dancing about the screen.
Little Girl & Rabbit (above) - I sold this at Gallery 49, UK. It now sits on somebody's wall.

DJ Girls (above) - a collage of musical ladies. They're listening to all sorts of music.
